Glenn D. Collins, 71 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 30, 2016 of natural causes. Glenn was born May 30, 1945 in Carter Co., KY to the late Russell and Mildred (Jordan) Collins. He married the love of his life Wanda Faye (Henderson) Collins on March 17, 1973 and she survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Woodrow and Stanley as well as sister in law Debbie Collins.
Glenn is also survived by daughter Peggy (Bud) Large of Marion and Polly (Steve Harper) Kuemmerle of Sebring, FL; grandchildren Brandon, Alisha, and Alex Large; Daniel Harper; brothers John of Caledonia and Ben (Cheryl) of Marion; sisters Bonnie (John) Blankenship, Marion; Martha Collins, Marion; and Cathy (John) Athey, MI; sister in laws Ielean Collins of GA and Rebecca Kay Collins of Caledonia; as well as nieces and nephews.
Glenn moved to Marion in 1972 and retired from Alloy Cast Steel after working over 30 years. He was a member of Richland Road Church of Christ. Glenn loved spending time with his family, fishing, working on cars, tinkering in the garage, and taking care of his sister’s dog. He was a good man with a great heart, good soul, loved by many, and would do anything for anyone.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday 1:00 pm at Richland Road Church of Christ, 535 Richland Rd., with Burial to follow in Caledonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church from 11:00 am until the time of service.
