Gerald "Ken" Vance
April 11, 1942 — December 31, 2020
Gerald Kenneth (Ken) Vance 78 passed away after a brief illness at his home December 31 2020. He was born April 11, 1942 to the late Albert and Ellen (Johnson ) Vance.
After graduating high school from Byesville Ohio, he worked retail in various states before he came to Marion to work for Wyandot Popcorn in 1969. After 10 years, he went to work for JG Clark box factory where he was VP of sales. After 20 years, he chose to work from home as a broker for the Baer and Associates from which he retired.
Ken enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, golfing and spending time around his pond fishing and camping. He has a special group of friends who he golfed with weekly.
His brother Jack Vance of Florida and Don Vance of Ohio preceded him in death. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 29 years Debra Styer Vance, daughter Deborah (Jack) Conneway, grandson Jared Conneway and stepdaughter Angela Groves all of Florida.
Ken chose not to have services but request contributions be made to the Humane Society in his honor. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio was entrusted with the arrangements. visit www.cremationservicesofohio.com to extend a condolence or share a memory.
