George F. Hopkins

George Francis “Hoppy” Hopkins age 74 of Marion passed at Marion General Hospital on Tuesday January 11, 2022. He was born on January 04, 1948 in Marion to George Francis Hopkins I and Carolyn (Niles) Hopkins. George married Edith Louise Neal on June 14, 1967 and she preceded him in death.

George is survived by sons George B. (Twana) Hopkins, Tod (Julie) Hopkins, Corey (Jennifer) Hopkins, daughter Melissa Hopkins, eight grandchildren Joshua Young, Andrew (Cheyenne) young, Samantha Young, Corey (Alana) Hopkins, Margaret (Brandon) Hopkins, Mackinzee Hopkins, Jacob Hopkins, George R. Hopkins and sister Mimi Slover. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Elizabeth Saxton.

George worked in the maintenance dept. at Whirlpool. He was member of the GWRRA and enjoyed riding motorcycles and woodworking. He liked anything to do with Tennessee. George took pride in attending many events of his grandchildren. A special thank you to Robin Wasson for the care she provided.
