Gary Stephen Dean

Gary Stephen Dean, age 70 of Marion, OH passed away February 11, 2024, at home. He was born November 28, 1953, to the late Lacy Dean and Violet Jean Sanchy in Mt. Vernon, OH.
Gary is survived by daughter Hope Dean, grandchildren: Gage (Ally) Lewis and Kortney (Ben) Potter, great-grandchildren: Sylvia, James, Blake, Gracie, Alex, Paisley, and Kolby, brothers: Wayne (Connie) Dean and Mike (Kay) Dean, sister Debbie (Harry) Shifflet, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darrel Dean, sister Linda Lewis, and nephews: Lacy A Dean and Jason Dean.
Gary graduated from Marion High School and served in the United States Army. He worked at Steam Turbine in Marion as a Machinist. Gary was an outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing and hunting; he even hiked half of the Appalachian Trail.
