Gail L. Rutter age 63 of Marion, died at Heartland of Marion on Tues. Jan. 23, 2018. She was born Aug. 19, 1954 in Columbus to the late George and Lina (Bryant) Rutter.
She is survived by her siblings Joanne Kendle, Marion, George (Sue) Rutter, Worthington, Henry (Sheila) Rutter, Sunbury, Donna Rutter, GA, her 2nd family Ron (Suzi) Light and Ronda Light, Columbus, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2nd parents Jim & Doris Light, sisters Elisabeth Mitchell, Nancy Collins, Inez Mitchell & Harriet Mikle and her life long love Stephen Clapp.
Gail graduated in 1972 from Brookhaven High School, Columbus. She cooked and was a cashier at local restaurants. Gail enjoyed playing euchre, scrabble and cooking. A special thanks to Steven & Tina Hook and Jamie & Jennifer Thompson, caregivers in her last few years, and the staff at Heartland.
There will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Marion Area Humane Society 2264 Richland Rd. Marion, OH 43302 or Marion County Dog Pound 2252 Richland Rd.
