Frank I. "Mac" McDonald Jr. 81, formerly of Marion and Hudson Florida passed away on Thursday April 8, 2021 at Westbrook Assisted Living in Upper Sandusky where he had been a resident the past 2 years. Frank was born August 13, 1939 in Toledo to the late Frank I. McDonald Sr. and Effie (Mattix) McDonald. He was also preceded in death by son Douglas, brothers Dallas, James, and Donald, as well as sister Frances Balliet.
Frank is survived by children Steve (Rachel) McDonald of California, Mark McDonald of Marion, Abby (Bob) Stump of Prospect, Michael McDonald of Marion, and Frank McDonald of Marion; grandchildren Jackie (Jessie) Ramirez, Aaron (Wendy) McDonald, Regina (Miguel) McDonald-Gutierrez, Marcus McDonald, Matthew (Vanessa) McDonald, Harold Martin, Fallon McDonald, April (Ron) Brust, Collin (Holly) Stump, and Mariah (D.C.) Coen;15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Frank lived most of his life in the Marion area and for a period of time in Florida. He was an automobile mechanic and worked at McDaniel Motors and Kimbler's Garage in Marion. While in Florida, Frank worked as a security guard. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, travel, and doing crosswords and computer games.
At this time there are no formal calling hours or funeral services. The family suggests memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Kindred Hospice and Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
