Evelyn Schweitzer

Evelyn L. Schweitzer, 95 of Marion passed away on Saturday December 19, 2020 at Primrose Retirement Community of Marion. Evelyn was born April 17, 1925 in Detroit MI to the late Junior and Charlotte (Hess) Straub. She was married May 1, 1943 to Edward G. Schweitzer who preceded her in death on May 10, 1984. She was also preceded in death by sister Velma and son-in-law Jack Roberts Jr.

Evelyn is survived by daughters Marilyn (Richard) Wallace of Marion and Terri Roberts of Caledonia; grandchildren Dr. Darrell Wallace of Youngstown, Dr. Heather (Ravi) Misra of Carmel IN, Julie (Zach) Martin of Caledonia, and Michelle (Jim) Thiel of Marion; great grandchildren Elliott, Avery, Jase, Jacob, and Joseph; and brother Gerald Straub of Michigan.

Evelyn was a homemaker and she volunteered at Mark Street for 10 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cardington and over a 10 year period made 1000 quilts for Lutheran World Relief.

Due to the Pandemic, Memorial Services and burial will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Howell, MI beside her husband. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 336 W. Main St., Cardington, OH 43315.
