Estel C Baker II

Estel C Baker II, age 62 of Mt. Gilead, OH passed away February 21, 2024, at home. He was born July 30, 1961, to the late Estel C Baker Sr. and M. Louise Jaggers Baker in Marion, OH.
Estel is survived by children: David (Samantha) Baker of Marion, Estel “Tad” (Savannah) Baker III of Marion, Caleb Baker of Marion, and Fawn Baker of Marion, life partner Mary Simmering, grandchildren: Malachi Baker, Ethan Baker, Kamrie Baker, Houston Baker, Theodore Baker, Estel “TJ” Baker IV, and Alexus Trubee, step grandchildren: Kaylee Lane and Kylee Lane, sisters: Sherry (Dillard) Smith, Evonda (Mike) Markley, Teresa Baker, and Mary Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Christian Jackson.
Estel attended Marion Enterprise Baptist Church and worked as a truck driver and mechanic. He had a knack for repairing things and was know as “Mr. Fix-It”. Estel enjoyed playing guitar and really cared for others. He initiated a program in Marion to give support for troubled youth. He will be deeply missed.
