Ellis Cowan

Ellis Dwaine Cowan of Marion, passed on June 6, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. He was born August 1, 1957 in Massillon, OH to Emery E. and Jacqueline (Perkins) Cowan.
He is survived by his wife Julie Cowan, his mother Jacqueline Cowan, son Zac Cannon, daughter Stephanie Malo, special grandson Gabriel Malo, sister Monoka (Rev. Ernie) Brown, Anita (Ray) Harple, brother Ed (Carol) Cowan numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Emery Cowan, son Jacob Cannon and niece Meredith Harple.
Ellis retired after 25 years from Arcelor-Mittal-Columbus Coatings as a Technician. He was a Cleveland Indians fan. For hobbies he enjoyed watching Gabriel play baseball, fishing and hunting with his dad and spending time with his buddy Boxer. Ellis never met a stranger.
A service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday June 13, 2021 at 2pm with Monoka Brown officiating, fellowship to follow until 5pm. The event will be held at the American Legion Post #584 142 Olney Ave. Marion, OH 43302. Affordable Cremation & Funeral Services of Ohio was honored to serve the Cowan family.
