It is with a sad heart we say goodbye to our loving mother Ella Maxine Bussey. Ella aka, Max/Maxine or Mad Max if you knew her back in the day, left us January 2, 2024. Ella was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, who not so long ago became a great-grandmother two times over. She enjoyed writing, crocheting, and coloring in her books. She enjoyed going on fishing trips with her family. She was a homemaker and took care of everything that needed to be done.
Ella is preceded in death by her father, James K. Parmer and mother, Mildred M (Stambaugh) Parmer; sister, Elizabeth Ann Parmer; and granddaughter, Hailey M. Hickman.
Ella leaves behind in this world, husband of 43+ years, Charles E. Bussey; 2 sisters, Jackie Parmer and Terry (James) Henderson; 4 daughters, Linda (Jay) Malone, Sabrina (Jason) Hickman, Janice (Greg) Miller, and Alice Richards; 1 son, Jimmie (Carrie) Richards; grandchildren, Miranda Sampson, Sage Brown, Ashley Brown, Anthony Miller, Evan Miller, Brittany Chapman, Joshua Hickman, Ashley Hickman, Megan Hickman, Kristopher Schwartz, Jason Richards, James Richards, and Skyann Franklin; as well as 4 more grandkids, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ella will be greatly missed and will carry on in our hearts until we meet again.
There will not be any funeral arrangements at this time. Family is planning a Celebration of Life service on her birthday, April 14, 2024; it will be held at Shield of Faith Church, 404 N Greenwood St., Marion, OH 43302, from 2-4. Memorials may be made directly through the funeral home Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio.
