Edgar Lee Reebel, age 68, passed away at Embassy of Marion September 24th, 2024. Edgar was born to the late Lawrence Reebel and Rose Mary Fielder (Pritchard) October 1, 1955, in Marion Ohio. Once a graduate of Elgin HS, class of '74, Edgar chose to join the Navy, serving 6 years. Deciding to further his education at Ohio State University, he earned a bachelors in Turf Grass Management, ending just shy of an additional bachelors in Business Management. Through his love of golf, he was given the opportunity to travel abroad with Pete Dye. Helping to construct numerous golf courses from Australia, Singapore, Hawaii and ended with his final assignment in Indonesia, where he met his wife and had their two sons. To focus on family, they moved back to the states where he worked a short time in construction while living in Kentucky. He then decided to move back to Ohio and he began his 18yrs with Honda until his retirement. Along side his love of golf, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and collecting a variety of guns. He enjoyed going to the shooting range and was a lifetime member of the Hardin County Coon Hunters Club. In addition, he was a member of the Shriners club as well as a Mason to the 32nd degree. Edgar is survived by sons, Matthew (Brittany Farmer) Reebel and Mark Reebel; sister, Dortha (Ray) Conley; brother Robert “Bob” (Jan) Fiedler; sister-in-law, Jeannine Zimmerman; and beloved dog Duke. Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Richard Fielder; sister, Shirley Ann Allen; and brother, Ralph Owen Reebel. There will be no formal services per the families' request. Edgar will be laid to rest in Kenton Cemetery with other family. Memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society.
