Donna Jean Myers

Donna Jean Myers, 73 of Prospect died peacefully following a brief illness on Sunday January 17, 2016 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus surrounded by her family. Donna was born September 21, 1942 in Marysville to the late Hubert and Dorothy (McBride) Smart. She was married Jan. 19, 1963 to Lloyd Myers who preceded her in death on December 28, 2007.
Donna is survived by her fiancée Michael Cain; sons Dion (Angie) Myers of Prospect and Scott (Tammy) Myers of Marion; grandchildren Dion II, Hunter, Mike, Damen, Christian, Tyler, Julie, Cammy, Seth, Chris, Dusten, and Emily; great grandchildren including Isabella and Skyler. Michael’s children, Christine (Slayson) Walters; Nathan (Sara) Cain and son Logan; Mathew (Nikki) Cain and their children Aries and Delilah; brothers Doug Smart; Tommy (Dee) Smart, Tod (Carol) Smart; sister Dotty Stump; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna was a graduate of Scioto Valley H.S. at Ostrander in 1960 and the Marion Beauty Academy. She was a member of the Porter Snyder American Legion Post #605 in Waldo. Donna was very active and enjoyed dancing. Most of all Donna enjoyed her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday Jan. 23 in the Waldo United Methodist Church, 141 S. Marion St., Waldo with Rev. Ralph Velazco officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.
