Diane Lee Pierce, 72 of Galion went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 19, 2016 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Diane was born Sept. 6, 1943 to the late Charles Leonard Stump and Wilifred Edyth (Metcalf) Stump. She was married Nov. 15, 1974 to William Pierce who survives.
Diane is also survived by children; Judith (Joseph) Matuska, David Koyl, Teresa Gerrity, Randolph Pierce, and Robert Pierce; grandchildren Gary Johnson, Samantha, Andrew, and Felicia Gerrity, Amanda Bianca Koyl; great grandchild Aviana Luger; sisters Karen and Janice; and one brother William.
Diane was a homemaker and a foster mother for 30 foster children over the years. She moved to this area 3 years ago from Tucson, Arizona. Diane was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Galion.
Services are being planned for a later date. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio, 1701 Marion Williamsport Rd., Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
