Dena Renee Glass passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Dena was born February 7, 1963 in Kenton, OH to Carl and the late RoseMarie (Clifton) Jacobs.
Dena met the love of her life, Jeffery Glass while attending Marion Harding High School. The two married July 1, 1983 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion, OH. They started their marriage living in the mountains - Knoxville, TN and moved to the beach - St. Simon’s Island, GA in 1986. They relocated back to Marion, OH in 1992. The two continued to love spending time in St. Simons Island, GA and it even became a cherished spot for family vacations over the years.
Dena had a wonderful career as an HR Manager, she was dedicated to her employers and all of their employees. She made many positive changes to Schilling Graphics, Inc. Galion, OH (2013 - 2021); Galion LLC, Galion, OH; Pete Miller Roofing, Marion, OH and Marion General Hospital, Marion, OH.
Dena will be missed by her husband Jeff Glass, her children Caitlin (Johnny) Sinchok , Cameron (Devyn) Glass, her grandchildren John Wyatt Sinchok and Gabriella Rose Sinchok, her father Carl Jacobs, her sister Whitneyann (Bob) Branstetter and mother in law Frances Glass along with numerous friends and colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her mother RoseMarie (Clifton) Jacobs.
Dena was kind, warm-hearted and fun! She was instantly loved by everyone who she met. She was a wonderful cook, baker, and the best party planner around. Her world famous cream cheese mints will be missed by all. Dena was also well known for her “Dena-isms” - she always had a story to tell that typically included boundless amounts of laughter.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:30 am at Sacred Hearts Church
