David Eugene Snyder
David was born May 4, 1956 to Lawrence and Kathryn (Baker) Snyder in
Marion, Ohio. He attended and graduated from Marion Harding High
School in 1975 . While in school, he was active in the Boy Scouts of
America and the Marion Explorers Post.
After meeting at the Little Brown Jug Square Dancing Club, he and
Margaret (Maggie) Adams married on June 20, 1992 in Worthington,
Ohio. They made their home in Marion and attended Central Baptist
Church. Dave and Maggie loved square dancing together, being with
family, and church activities. In his spare time, he loved woodworking,
making all sorts of tables, cabinets, and furniture. He was an avid
bowler, participating in several leagues.
Davis had a variety of jobs during his life but spent the last several years
as a tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. He received his
Associates Degree in Accounting in 2012 from Marion Technical College,
a degree that he worked hard to receive and was proud to have.
David is survived by his wife Margaret, sons William Snyder of Marion,
and Dwight (Deidre Ruble) Snyder of Columbus, step children Don
(Brenda) Adams, Ron (Angie) Adams, Doug (Regi) Adams, Betsy (Joe)
Hickman, and Richard (Ashley) Adams, his nieces Michelle (Patrick)
Little of Galion, and Lori (Kip) Yurt of Kendallville, IN, numerous
grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his beloved brother Gary
and sister-in-law Jean Ann.
Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 27 at 2:00 with services following at
3:00 at Central Baptist Church, 2816 Marion Waldo Road in Marion by
Pastor Eric Duenke.
