David I. Dillinger age 39, of Marion died on Thursday March 28, 2019 at Grant Hospital, Columbus.
David was born on November 19, 1979 to Dale Dillinger of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Tammy Phillips of Marion, Ohio. He is survived by his son Jayden Dillinger, brothers Derek Dillinger, Dustin (Katie) Dillinger, and Daniel (Cassidy Gordon) Dillinger, and sister Hannah Kennedy. Also survived by paternal grandmother Virginia Dillinger, 5 uncles, 5 aunts and 7 cousins and two nephews.
In the past, David had worked various jobs in the food service industry. His hobbies include playing the guitar, cooking, designing tattoo art, spending time in the outdoors and being an artist. David is very kind hearted and loves his family dearly, as they love him.
During the week he was at the hospital, God gave us one day of David being alert. We got to share our love for him and the love of Christ. He was given a prayer cloth which he clung to, showing an openness to the Kingdom of God and we hold onto this hope. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
His memorial service is Saturday, April 27th from 2-5, with the first 2 hours being visitation. The memorial service is at 4 pm with Pastor Tom Hypes officiating. It is being held at The Shepherd’s Fellowship, 1647 Marion Marysville Rd. ( Rte. 4), Marion, Ohio.
