Connie L Harris

Connie L Harris of LaRue, OH, formerly of Ironton, OH, went home to see you Mommy and Daddy and to finally meet her Jesus on March 11,2025. She was born to the late Donald & Ruth (Hilgenberg) Rowe in February 26, 1950. She was the loving mother of Laura (Rock) McDavid of Flatwoods, KY and Jon-Paul (Marsha) Harris of Marion. 

Connie graduated from Symmes Valley High School and then went on to proudly serve in the US Air Force. After years of working for WalMart, she found her passion of traveling and helping oversee the remodel of their stores until she retired. 

She leaves behind her children and her grandsons Rocky & Greg, her bonus granddaughter Nikki, along with her sisters Patty Martin of Marion, and Cathy (Ron) Walker also of Marion. Also a brother David Rowe of Marion. Several nieces and nephews who all loved their Aunt Connie’s wonderful secret recipe for mashed potatoes. 

She goes on to a reunion with her parents and her brother Danny Rowe and her old Air Force buddy Ed Martin who just happened to be her brother in law also. 

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date where she will be laid to rest at the Hilgenberg family cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Association. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.affordablecremationservicesofohio.com.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Ohio Health’s Marion General Hospital for the care and compassion that they showed them during her battle, specifically the nurses and the people from Hospice.
