Cody D Preston

Cody Preston, 29, of Marion, Ohio, passed away September 1st, 2021 after succumbing to complications of chronic mental illness. In spite of his own darkness, he managed to bring happiness and joy to those he touched throughout his life.

Cody was born on the 9th of May in 1992 in Delaware, Ohio. He was an avid classic rocker and loved to play the electric guitar. He was a great BMX competitor and placed 10th place in the nation. Cody also liked to go hiking and camping in the mountains of West Virginia. His infectious laugh and oddball quirkiness meant he could make friends with just about anyone. Recently he had started teaching his mom Brenda how to play ping pong; as their relationship was close.

Cody is survived by his son, Noah; his parents, with whom he was especially close, Dave and Brenda;, his grandma, Donna; his sister, Valerie; his nephew, Bradley Jr; and his nieces, Lillian, Rosemary, and Violet. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Perry; his maternal grandpa, John; his maternal grandma, Vivian; and his step-grandmother, Alma.
