Christopher Keith Sr.

Christopher Keith Sr. 79, of Marion went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 5, 2018 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 25, 1938 in Danville, VA. to the late Thomas Keith Sr. and Eunice Thelma (Leftwich) Keith. On October 28, 1961 he married LuEtta M. Keith who preceded him in death on July 19, 2013.

Mr. Keith is survived by his children, Christopher Keith Jr., Loma (Terrance) Mason, Aundrea (Leo) Keith, Eric (Lisa) Keith, Kimberly Keith, Stephanie Wooldridge, and Trinity (Ishaya) Keith; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; His sisters, Betty Kate Leftwich of North Carolina and Ruth Marie Keith of Canton, Ohio: A special daughter in law, Danielle Springer; A special son in law, Mike Bush. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Keith; A grandchild; his brothers, Ray Leftwich, Huffman Keith, Gene Keith, and Thomas Keith, and his sister Georgia Mae Leftwich.

After graduation, Mr. Keith worked for the railroad, worked as a steel cutter at Moyer’s in Crestline, Ohio, Owned and operated Keith’s Metals, and owned and operated Recycling Creations. He truly enjoyed landscaping, going fishing, playing pool as he was a true pool shark, and playing cards especially Spades. He was a member of the King’s Temple Apostolic Church in Marion.

Family and friends may attend his wake on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6-9 pm in the King’s Temple Apostolic Church located at 267 Senate Street, Marion, Ohio 43302. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with Elder Tyrone Kaiser officiating and delivering the eulogy, Mr. Lamar Ross as MC, and a host of ministers from the Marion area, burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Those wishing to give a memory in Mr. Keith’s memory may do so at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the King’s Temple Apostolic Church.
