Charles R. Petty, 36 of Marion passed away on Saturday September 9, 2023 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness. Charles was born March 4, 1987 in Marion to Charles E. Petty of Marion and Vera (Davenport) Thomas of Gallipolis Ferry W. Virginia. In addition to his parents he is survived by daughter Audrey Petty; step father Dave Thomas; brother Kenneth (Kimberly) Davenport of Marion; sisters Jeanie (Allen) Imbody of Marion, and Crystal Petty of Lima; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles graduated from Elgin High School in 2005 and worked at the Goodwill Warehouse in Marion. He was involved with Bee Industries in Marion and played on their softball team. Charles enjoyed working on small engines.
