Charles Gary McMahan

Charles G. “Gary” McMahan, 78 of Marion passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2024, at Presidential Post Acute in Marion. Gary was born May 28, 1945, in Marion to the late Charles E. and Marian (Bogart) McMahan. He was married July 22, 1988, to Leora (Predmore) McMahan who survives. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by children Cara (Robert) Hawn of Cromwell, IN, Timothy McMahan of Albuquerque, NM, Amy (Roger) Owens-Gandee of Indian Lake, Alan Ambrose of Marion, Cindy (Steve) Curtis of Waldo, and Christina Russell of Marion; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Gary graduated from River Valley High School in 1963 and retired from Whirlpool after working 35 years. He enjoyed woodworking and for several years played Softball in the Marion area and coached baseball.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday July 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the True Life Church, 374 N. Main St., Marion with Pastor Brett Gleespen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
