Carolyn Sue Lintz

February 1, 1950 — December 9, 2021

Carolyn Sue (Johnson) Lintz, age 71, of Crestline, Ohio passed from this life on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from Covid-19 Pneumonia while in the ICU at Avita – Bucyrus Hospital. She was born with a special heart on February 1, 1950 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Carolyn blessed all she knew with this special heart. Her heart showered the earth with the most genuine and intentional love, encouragement, and support in so many meaningful ways. Like throughout the many years she taught preschool, meaningfully impacting many lives. As some students, later encountered in their twenties, would share how they never forgot “Ms. Lintz” and what a wonderfully meaningful presence she was in their lives. Or how she especially enjoyed surprising her kids and grandkids with many heartfelt inspiring notes for them to discover along the way. She always enjoyed sharing pep talks while transporting her kids and grandkids, along with as many friends that would fit, to attend their many different sporting events. Where she got to shine as The Best Cheerleader on those sidelines, as she deeply enjoyed cheering with all her heart, not only for her own relatives, but for every child on their teams. She was an advocate for the underdogs of the world, always and also, cheering for them in her own special way. She never wanted anyone to be left out. And she never left anyone’s presence without sharing a kind word or gesture to help them feel acknowledged and happier than when she first encountered them. She made many tasty meals and dishes for together moments. She loved swimming and just being in the water. And what a great swimmer she was! She also loved “writing books in cards,” going on family picnics, going to the beach, driving her riding lawn mower, listening to and singing music that made her “feel” deep emotions and most alive, settling in for her favorite TV shows and movies, hanging the clothes out on the line (her “art”), and spending cherished time sharing and chatting with her dear friends, Sharon Schaffranek and Bettyjo Allen. And she loved “making memories” we all could keep. She always loved being a mother to her son and daughter and a Ma to her grandkids and the many children she blessed and was blessed to know. We Will Always Love Her Being Our Mother and Our Ma. “God Bless You, too, Mom. Sweet dreams.”
She is survived by her mother, Hazel Patrick/Seagren; son, Nathan Lintz; daughter, Krystal (Reaf) Hoskinson; grandchildren, Austin (Jenna) Cox, Destiny (Destin) Hoskinson, Kirah Hoskinson, and Brooklyn Harmon; great-granddaughter, Layla Sell; sister, Gayle (Lee) Sexton/Gircsis; brothers, Randy Sexton and Wes (Robin) Sexton; niece, Cristee Sexton/Fausey; great-niece, Zali Sexton; great-nephew, Zyler Sexton/Grillot; nephew, Zack Sexton; great-niece, Taylor Sexton; and great-nephew, Gavin Sexton.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Marie Sexton; and her stepfather, Fred Seagren
