Betty A. Edwards

Betty Ann Edwards age 72, of Marion, passed away Friday August 21, 2020 after a long illness.
She was born on November 25, 1947 in Charleston, WV to the late Raymond and Belva (Cadle) Spencer. In 1972 she married Bob Edwards who remained her friend and companion even after divorce.  She is survived by her daughters Tammy (Kenny) Boehm and Karen (Bud) Brown, son Bobby (Danielle) Edwards, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sisters Helen (Maynard) Tanner, Judy (Robert) Lovejoy, Connie Johnson and brother Roger (Phyllis) Spencer. She is preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Betty lived in Cleveland, Ohio for several years where she worked as a Nurse’s Aide at St. John’s Hospital.  She later moved her family to Cardington, Ohio where she took up roots and lived for over 40 years.  She retired after 25 years of service as Shift Supervisor from Morning View Care Center, in Fulton, Ohio.  Betty was a member of the Edison Enterprise Baptist Church, where she created the church’s food pantry in 2004.  Although she left school early to care for her family, Betty was very proud of her professional and personal accomplishments.  She was a very giving person, not only to her friends and family, but in her chosen profession.  She enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her family, and she loved flowers.  Betty will be remembered as a very loving and giving person.
