Barbara C Meier

Barbara C Meier, age 79 of Marysville, Ohio passed away on May 2, 2022, at Memorial Gables Nursing Home in Marysville. Barbara was born on September 29, 1942, to the late John Quigley and Frances (Hill) Quigley in Grundy, Virginia, and grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. She graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 1960.

Barbara moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1968 and then in 1971, she moved to Perrysburg, Ohio where she raised her children and worked for Flower Hospital and ProMedica Health until her retirement. In 2008, she moved to Marysville, Ohio to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (William) Calderon; her brother, John (Joan) Quigley, 3 grandchildren; Samantha (Brandon) Hertzfeld, Austin (Sephrenia) Calderon and Anjelina Calderon; and 3 great-grandchildren (Bentley, Bowen and Brody Hertzfeld). She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Meier.

Barbara’s most enjoyment and pride was her family. Also, she enjoyed making wreaths and other arts and crafts, watching Jeopardy and football, and was an avid reader. Barbara loved animals especially her pug named Wendy.

Barbara’s wishes were to be laid to rest next to her parents in Lynchburg, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
