Alissa May Blanton Columber

Alissa May Blanton Columber, 59, of Marion passed away Friday Nov. 20, 2015 at the Kobacher House in Columbus. She was born March 29, 1956 in Marion to the late Denzil and Luella (Miller) Blanton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Cindy Wood as well as siblings.
Alissa is survived by children Jack Lee Wood II (Sherri Williams) of Marion and Melinda Wood-Jordan (Rocky Jordan II) and of Marion; grandchildren Shania Jordan, Rocky Jordan III, Kevin Belcher, Brittani Cooper, Heather Wood, Brandon Napper, and Jamie Napper; great grandson Sabastian and was expecting her second great grandchild; brothers George, Denver, Walter, Denzil, and Jason Blanton all of Marion; uncle Nelson Miller of Marion as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Alissa was a homemaker and lived her entire life in Marion. She loved cooking, cleaning, housework, and her pet dogs.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday Dec. 1, 2015 at 5:00 pm in the Marion Christian Center, 1550 Richland Rd. with Pastor Tom Stimson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
