Regina L. Geyer, “Gina”, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023, with her husband and children by her side until she was met by her mom, brother, and best friend at the gates of heaven. Gina, 59, was born on October 1, 1963, in Marion, Ohio to Jack and Evelyn Honaker.
In September 1981, at the very first Marion Popcorn Festival, Gina met the love of her life Dan Geyer.
Dan knew from the moment he first saw Gina, that he would marry her. On April 1, 1982, Dan proposed
with a cigar ring when he forgot the real ring at home. The two were a match made in heaven and were
married on October 2, 1983. Shortly after, the two started their family in 1985 with the birth of their daughter, Desiree, and in 1986 twin boys, Chad and Tad.
The highlight of her life were her children and grandchildren. A mom to all the neighborhood kids and
friend to all. Gina was known to be a caregiver as she babysat the neighborhood kids and would do
anything she could for someone in need. She was an avid crafter who could make the neatest gifts out
of random odds and ends. She loved to shop and thrift, most recently spending weekday trips with her
husband to dollar days finding goodies for her grandkids who she loved to spoil.
Left to cherish her memory, Gina is survived by her husband Dan Geyer; her 3 children Desiree (Danny)
Torres, Chad (Chelsea) Geyer, and Tad (Jessica) Geyer; and 4 grandchildren Owen and Lejyn Moore, Lexis
Geyer, and Oceana Collins; and her new puppy, Buddy. She is also survived by her sister Peggy Kohler,
brother Rick Honaker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Honaker, brother, Jack Honaker Jr., and best friend Deana Bollinger.
To honor her wishes, no services will be held. Instead, a celebration of life will be held in her honor on
Saturday, February 4th, from 2-6pm, at the American Legion Post 162, 531 Bellefontaine Ave, Marion,
Ohio.
We love you mom.
