Ethan Harris

May 31, 2001 — September 29, 2022

Ethan Harris (Gferbo) was born on May 31, 2001 to Pamela (Persinger) and Stuart Harris. He came into this world having a sister (McKenzie Warmus) Mother of his nephew Tucker, and a brother (Joshua Cocherl) Father of his niece and nephews Kameron, Hallie, Bryson, Declan and Lazarus. He was soon blessed with a baby sister (Karli Harris). He is also survived by his grandpas Stuart K (Pam) Harris Sr. and Gerald O. Persinger. Then he sped through grade school with his intelligence and love for reading. The speed took a halt when approaching middle school. Ethan was picked on and pushed around but it only made him stronger. Even with the hardships, Ethan still had a love for music. He was extremely talented even if he was scared to admit it. He adored the piano and even taught himself how to play along with the drums. He also played the recorder and saxophone in middle school. He had a beautiful voice as well but rarely showed it off. Ethan loved sports. He thought he could cross anyone up and was so goofy when he did it; as if it brought him peace. He loved watching professional football even though he quit on his first day. Ethan even played basketball and baseball a little while but it didn’t really interest him like music did. He also absolutely loved food; especially anything sweet. Ethan said it was a temporary fix to make him feel good. When he got to high school he was involved in many fights to protect himself and his friends from those around him. Ethan never sat around and watched another person get picked on. He had a voice and it affected so many people when he used it. He met the love of his life (Ashly Martin) his sophomore year and didn’t expect it to change his life forever. They had a beautiful baby boy (Legend) on January 14, 2019. Ethan was ecstatic about his baby and tried everything in his power to do better for him. He enjoyed selling cars and being able to test drive them. Not only did he love it but he was good at it too. He was a charmer and no matter what first impression you had of Ethan, you still hung around to let him grow on you. He had the biggest heart and would struggle way before anyone else had to. Ethan was there for anyone even if it didn’t benefit him. Ethan could be experiencing the worse and you wouldn’t even know it because his spirit was so light. He was the funniest person anyone could meet. His words didn’t even have to be funny but the way he would say things could have you on your knees gasping for air. Ethan was always a bright spirit no matter the circumstances. He showed so many people what love really was. Ethan is the definition of Love. Ethan was involved in a tragic car wreck on September 28, 2022, leaving us only at age 21. He is still impacting so many lives including the 6 that he saved on October 2, 2022. He will live with us forever and will always be by our side. Rest in the Peace you always deserved my sweet angel.

There will be a service held to celebrate Ethan’s life on the 27th of October at 1pm at Good Faith Baptist Church located at 706 E. Mark St. Marion, Ohio.
